JHS Sports Achievers: July 2025



JAIN Heritage School Table Tennis Teams participated in the Checkmate Inter-School Table Tennis Tournament, which was held on 9th & 10th July 2025 at Sahakaranagar, Bangalore. Our students showcased commendable skills and sportsmanship, securing top positions in both Individual and Team Events.

Tushar Agarwalla of Grade 6 secured 4th overall (3rd Runner-up) and received a cash award of Rs 4,500 in the Karnataka State Under 13 Chess Championship held between 25 July and 27 July in Hassan, Karnataka.

He remained undefeated in the tournament, getting 7.5 points in 9 rounds and gained 102 FIDE ELO rating points, crossing FIDE rating 1800 in Standard Chess rating.

P. Venyashree, of Grade 9, secured a Gold and a Bronze medal in different categories in the recently concluded CBSE Zonals swimming competition held at Hassan.

Veer Jadeja, of grade 10, won the Elocution Contest on the topic "Empowering young people to create the families they want in a fair and hopeful world," which was held at Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum (VITM) on 11 July 2025 as part of World Population Day Observance.

Stuti participated in the State Sub-Junior & Junior Swimming Championship 2025–26 held at the Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre from 9th to 13th July. She was declared the Individual Champion in the Girls Group 3 category, winning 4 Gold and 3 Silver medals. She will be representing Karnataka State in the upcoming National Championship to be held in August.

JHS Chess teams performed well in “Sindh Sports Fest 2025” conducted by Sindhi High School, Hebbal, Bangalore held on 2nd & 3rd July, 2025. The following are the results of this competition:

Daksha Agarwalla of Grade 5 stood as a Runner in the Under-10 Girls category in this competition. Shanthi S of Grade 6 stood Runner in the Under-12 Girls category in this competition. Samarth Raghavan of Grade 8 emerged Champion in the Under–14 Boys Category.

Samarth Praveen has won 2 Gold medals and 2 Silver medals in 10M peep Sight Rifle shooting in the 13th Karnataka State meet held at KSRA SAI campus.

Samvidh N of grade 8A won the state-level championship with 5 Gold and 2 silver medals in the 13th Karnataka State meet in the 10 MTR Air Rifle championship in the NR category.

Dhanya Nataraj Naik of 8B has secured 2 golds, 2 Silvers, and 1 bronze (a total of 5 medals) at the state-level Sub-Junior and Junior Swimming Championship 2025 - 26, which was conducted by the Karnataka Swimming Association from July 9th to July 13th, 2025, at Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre Bengaluru.

Dhanya has been selected for the Nationals, which is going to be held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Jonathan Thomas from grade 11 won two bronze medals in the 13th Karnataka State Shooting Championships, which were recently held. I achieved these in the 50m 3 position (3P) Rifle Event under both the Juniors and Men's categories.

Venyashree showcased an impressive performance at the NRJ State Sub-Junior and Junior Karnataka State Swimming Championship held at the Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre, winning a Silver medal in the 400m Individual Medley and Bronze medals in both the 1500m Freestyle and the 4x200m Freestyle Relay.

   

 



SHARAN S of grade 10C has won 8 gold medals and made four new state records, in the NRJ STATE SUB-JUNIOR & JUNIOR AQUATIC CHAMPIONSHIP - 2025

Tushar Agarwalla of Grade 6 performed well in the Rainbow Open chess tournament organised by REVA PU College, Sanjaynagar, Bangalore, held on 22nd June, 2025 and secured 6th place. He was also rewarded with a 1000-rupee cash prize for his outstanding performance.

Daksha Agarwalla of Grade 5 performed well in the Rainbow Open chess tournament organised by REVA PU College, Sanjaynagar, Bangalore held on 22nd June, 2025 and secured 8th place. She was also rewarded with a trophy for her outstanding performance.

Neerav B Beliya from Basic Fundamentals Tulip participated in the toddler match (U4-U9) tournament held on June 29, 2025. For his outstanding performance, he secured the Best Player medal. Additionally, he scored a goal during the match, showcasing his skills and dedication.

Mr. Satyajit, the Table Tennis coach of JAIN Heritage School, performed extremely well in the C Krishnamurthy Memorial State Ranking Veterans Table Tennis tournament, which was held in the 40+ age category at Paanchajanya Table Tennis Academy, Bilekahalli, on June 29, 2025, and secured third place.

Tushar Agarwalla of Grade 6 performed extremely well in “KHANNUR STATE FIDE RATED OPEN CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP” organised by Khannur Group of Institutions, Bangalore recognised by Karnataka State Chess Association, held from 1st to 4th July, 2025. He secured 5th Position in this championship and was rewarded a 3 thousand rupees cash prize and a trophy for his incredible performance.
