Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Jain Heritage School 2022

Jain Heritage School celebrated Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on 8 June 2022. Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture, and achievements. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi honoured this initiative to involve the student community in constructing a strong and capable nation.

The chief guests for the event were Mr. A Sreenivasa Rao, Commissioner of Income Tax (Karnataka and Goa region), Mr. Janardhan S, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax (Bengaluru), Mr. G. Sri Hari Prasad, Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax (Bengaluru), and Ms. Rehna R, Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax (Bengaluru).

The initiative was put through by Income Tax Department, which selected two reputed schools to contribute to the event. The IT department chose activities catering to a range of students from middle school until secondary grades. It was a proud moment for Jain Heritage School to be among the two schools to participate in this unique venture. The event was set for students from grades 7 to 10. The enthusiasm of students reflected in various literary and skill-based activities including slogan writing, extempore, speech, and essay writing. Nearly 400 students participated in different events and activities to show their respect to Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
