Achievers: Sports and Activities - September 2025



JHS Swimming Teams participated in the CBSE Nationals (Girls) Swimming Competition organised by KIIT International School, KIIT Campus 9, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, held from September 24th to 27th, 2025. The students of JAIN Heritage School showcased exceptional talent and determination throughout the competition. Competing with swimmers from across the country, they brought glory to the school with their outstanding performances.

The JHS Boys' Swimming Teams participated in the CBSE National Swimming Competition, organised by University Campus School, MDU, Rohtak, Haryana, from September 16th to 21st, 2025. The students of JAIN Heritage School displayed exceptional skills and determination throughout the tournament and delivered an impressive performance at the national level.

Lakshmi Aashritha of Grade 7 participated in the Karnataka State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament organised by the Jayanagar Table Tennis Association, held at BMS College of Engineering, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, from 26th to 29th September 2025.

She has delivered an outstanding performance in this tournament, emerging as the Champion in the U-15 Girls category and securing the 3rd place in the U-13 Girls category.

The JHS Under-16 Cricket Team emerged champions in the prestigious KM Ram Prasad Shield – I Division Inter-School Tournament conducted by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), Bengaluru, held from 1st to 28th September 2025.

Our team displayed outstanding performance and remarkable consistency throughout the tournament, remaining unbeaten on their way to victory.

In the finals, JHS faced Holy Saint English School and secured a convincing win after taking a first-innings lead. Batting first, JHS posted 168 runs in 55 overs, led by brilliant performances from Arnav Anil (87 runs) and Aaryansinh Chavda (35 runs). In response, our bowlers dominated as Vidhat and Aaryansinh Chavda claimed 5 and 4 wickets respectively, restricting Holy Saint to 125 runs.

In the second innings, JHS added 165 runs in 62 overs, with Daksh (78 runs) and Shrehaan Chauhan (27 runs) contributing crucial runs. Holy Saint managed 68/2 in 12 overs, handing JHS a well-deserved victory by a first-innings lead of 43 runs.

Key Highlights:

  - JHS Under-16 Cricket Team clinched the KSCA I Division Inter-School title after 18 years.

  - The team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament.

  - Exceptional performances across batting and bowling led JHS to a historic triumph.

We are Happy to share the remarkable achievements of our student, Tushar Agarwalla, in recent chess tournaments.

 

• He has secured overall 4th position (3rd Runner-up) with a trophy at the 23rd RCC International FIDE Rated Classical Tournament, held from 25th–30th September 2025 in Mangalore.

• He achieved an overall 6th position with a trophy at the 24th RCC International FIDE Rated Rapid Tournament and 25th RCC International FIDE Rated Blitz Tournament, which took place from September 27th to 28th, 2025, in Mangalore. He also gained 82 FIDE ELO points in Rapid and 134 points in Blitz, along with the title of Best ChessWorld AI Player.

• He emerged as the Champion (1st position) in the Under-13 Category at the Golden Aura Karnataka State Amateur Chess Championship 2025, held from 2nd to 5th October in Bangalore. He received a cash prize of Rs. 3,000, a trophy, and a merit certificate.

• He has won the 5th prize in the Under-12 Category at the Check N Mate All India Open FIDE Rated Rapid Chess Tournament on 21st September 2025 in Bangalore, earning a trophy and merit certificate.

These outstanding accomplishments are a testament to his dedication, talent, and perseverance. We are proud to celebrate Tushar’s achievements and wish him continued success.

JAIN Heritage School Under-19 Shooting team performed well in the CBSE National Shooting Championship organised by Jaypee Public School, at Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, held from 11th to 15th September, 2025 and secured the following positions:

Tushar Agarwalla of Grade 6C participated in the 38th National Under-13 FIDE Rated Open Chess Tournament held at Margao, Goa, from 3rd to 9th Sept 2025.

He has secured an overall 48th Rank in the Open Category, 7.5 points in 11 games, and has qualified to play in the Asian, World Cadet, and Commonwealth Chess Championships in 2026.

Sara Jain of Grade 11, from JAIN Heritage School, participated in the Asian Open School International Swimming Meet 2025 held in Bangkok, Thailand. Competing against top swimmers from across the region, Sara delivered an outstanding performance by winning 2 Gold, 2 Silver, and 1 Bronze medal.

Her dedication, perseverance, and hard work reflect the spirit of excellence that Jain Heritage School encourages in its students. We are proud of her achievements and wish her continued success in her swimming journey.

Samarth Maharana, of Grade 1, won the Gold Medal in the under-10-year-old category of the 2nd Karnataka Interschool Taekwondo Championship—2025 at Sree Kanteerava Stadium.

D.C. Sidesh from Grade 9E participated in national-level competitions and won several medals. A total of 12 states and 650 participants took part, and Karnataka secured 1st place overall.

Stuti Chakroborty, a Grade 8 student, has been selected to participate in the prestigious IRIS Virtual Mentoring Camp for Affiliated Fair winners. This invitation recognises her outstanding project, which secured the top position at the CBSE National Science Exhibition.

The mentoring camp, scheduled for 27th & 28th September 2025, will provide her with expert guidance from the IRIS Scientific Review Committee to further refine her project. This platform offers a unique opportunity for budding scientists to develop their ideas and represent India at international science forums.

Mr. Satyajit, our Table Tennis coach at JAIN Heritage School, performed exceptionally well in the Prospin95 State Ranking Veterans Tournament (40+ age category) held on 3rd August 2025. He secured an impressive third place in this competition.

Smayan Chetan, Grade 8F, participated in the 20th South & West India Taekwondo—ITF Championship 2025, which was held in Chennai from 29 August to 1 September 2025.

Smayan won two bronze medals - one in Sparring and another in Patterns. We congratulate him for his outstanding performance and wish him continued success in his future endeavors.
