Achievers: Sports and Activities - January 2026



D.C. Sidesh of grade 9 participated in the 24th Karnataka State Level Taekwon-Do (ITF) Games 2026, held on 22nd, 23rd, and 24th January 2026 at Koramangala Indoor Stadium, Bengaluru. The event was organised by the Taekwon-Do Association of Karnataka and saw participation from over 3,000 athletes.

He delivered an exceptional performance and won a total of six medals, as detailed below:

- Individual Sparring – Gold Medal
- Group Sparring – Gold Meda
- Group Tuls – Gold Medal
- Self Defence – Gold Medal
- Individual Tuls – Silver Medal
- Umpire (Official) – Awarded a medal in recognition of his service and dedication

In addition to his competitive achievements, D.C. Sidesh served as an Umpire (Official) on 22nd and 23rd January 2026. On the final day of the event, 24th January 2026, he participated in five events and was recognised as the Best Fighter for his outstanding performance.

Sara Jain of Grade 11 has won a Bronze Medal in the Bangkok Swimming Competition.

Mrutula Charanya Sriram of Grade 1D won two Silver Medals at the 4th KTSA Taekwondo Championship, held on 24 January 2026 at The Winmore Academy, Jakkur.

She secured Silver Medals in both Kyorugi and Poomse in the Under-8 Years category.

JHS Karate Team participated in the 40th Inter Dojo Karate Do Championship 2026, conducted on 1st February 2026 at Kittur Rani Chennamma Stadium, Jayanagar, Bengaluru.

The team delivered an excellent performance and secured the following medals:

- Gold Medals - 7
- Silver Medals - 4
- Bronze Medals - 5

Reeyansh Sunkara of Grade 3 has secured three medals in the Interschool Swimming Competition conducted at RVKA on 17 January 2026, representing Jain Heritage School.

- Gold- 25 m Backstroke
- Silver- 50 m Freestyle

Avanti of Grade 5 participated in the Rashtrotthana Swim Meet on 17th January and bagged a Silver Medal in 50-meter backstroke.

Parnika Ganapathy C of Grade 4 participated in the 24th ITF State Level Taekwondo Competition held on 24th January 2026 at Koramangala Indoor Stadium, Bengaluru.

She secured a Silver Medal in Sparring in the Under-12 Age category.

Samrat Aditya P of Grade 8C has been selected to represent Karnataka in the U-14 South Zonal Tournament  for the academic year 2025-26. The tournament will be held at Vizianagaram from 27th January 2026.

Daksh Nataraj Naik of Class 5E won three medals in a swimming competition conducted by Rashtrothana Vidya Kendra on 17 January 2026.

- 100 m Individual Medley - Gold

Neerav B Beliya of Basic Fundamentals and his team won the football Champions Trophy at the Blues Cup, held at Patels Inn, RT Nagar, Bengaluru. Neerav led the team brilliantly as captain and goalkeeper, displaying exceptional dedication, leadership, and passion for the game.

Pranav Manjunatha Arehalli of Grade 8E successfully represented Sweden in UNICEF at an international conference held from 08 January 2026 to 11 January 2026 at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, Dubai.

The conference hosted over 800 delegates across 10 committees, providing an excellent platform for global dialogue and leadership development. Pranav’s participation reflects his commitment, confidence, and global outlook, bringing great pride to the school.

Aarya Raj of Grade 9 has represented Bangalore Zone in the Karnataka U-14 Inter Zonal Tournament conducted by KSCA, Bangalore.

P. Venyashree of Grade9 participated in the Khelo India Beach Games held at the Diu Islands from 5th to 10th of January 2026. She has secured an overall 5th place at the national level in the 5 km Open Water Swimming (Open Group category). Notably, she achieved this remarkable feat despite being the youngest competitor in the entire competition.

Hriday Patel of Grade 6 participated in the National Taekwondo Competition held in Ooty on 27th and 28th December 2025.

He won 5 Gold Medals, 1 Bronze Medal, and the Championship Belt, bringing great pride to the school.

Samrat Aditya P of Grade 8C has been selected to represent the Karnataka U-14 Inter Zonal Tournament conducted by KSCA, Bangalore. He will be representing the Vice President’s XI in the tournament.
