Abhivyakti 2025
About the Event
Celebrating Art as a Medium for Education and Social Transformation
Abhivyakti is a national platform bringing artists, students, and cultural educators together to celebrate Indian art forms through an exhibition, creative camp, and talent scouting.
Kala Gurus/Artists have illuminated the world of art for centuries; they complement each other, exist together, and depend on each other for cultural survival. Over the centuries, thousands of artists have shaped and enriched these art forms. Even in today's modern times, many artists follow various traditional art forms and cultural activities that involve forms of creative expression. Proper use of their skills will help today's new-age youth and students have a positive mind, a healthy life, and a society.
Art not only soothes the mind but also gives solace to the soul. With time, the higher education system has streamlined, structured and focused on the core subjects. But that has created a vast gap between modern education and the Arts & Art forms. Ironically, art teaching and skill development were limited to art education, and art and artists had no significant role in the present education system. The students were deprived of their experience and skills. There is a dire need to connect artists to the mainstream of higher education to provide an opportunity to enrich the learners with the immense practical experience and expertise of these artists, combined with their creativity and ideas.
This integration is envisioned to have two-tier benefits while providing the students with first-hand experience with creative talent in various arts and crafts to strengthen and improve programmatic attainments for rich and varied backgrounds and experiences. It will also benefit the targeted professionals and art forms directly or indirectly by allowing them to get new energy and prospects in society. The students will benefit most, and the art forms will also get new dimensions. Talent scouting and the opportunity to develop cultural inventory, including artists and art forms, will enrich JAIN, school, college and university academic and research programmes.
To achieve this objective, we are doing a creative experiment by bringing together various art forms in the country.
Aim
Indian art and culture are ancient and immortal. They are considered to be the concrete form of living life and the embodiment of ideals. Despite their importance today, they are scattered. We aim to restore their lost dignity and take them to the pinnacle of greatness in this modern age.
Objectives:
- To integrate Indian art forms into modern education.
- To provide students with hands-on exposure to diverse artistic disciplines.
- To support emerging and established artists by offering visibility, opportunity, and recognition.
- To build a cultural ecosystem within academic institutions.
