Co-Curricular Activity for Grade 6 to 8 for the month of July

Objective of this activity: To make children familiar about cooking without lighting a fire.

Cooking without fire is a diet consisting of complete raw foods. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds make up the bulk of the diet. The cooked food significantly reduces the nutrients and phytochemicals which destroy the natural enzymes essential for metabolism. The raw food diet promises more energy, clearer skin, detoxification of the body, and even the curing of many chronic conditions including cancer, arthritis, and allergies.

The raw food diet also boasts that it is high in fiber and low in sodium, fat, cholesterol, and trans fat. So Food is life, cooking is fun. Combine the two and you’re sure to discover that it is very easy to prepare a meal for oneself. This activity will help the students to discover that cooking can be a creative, easy and safe experience that is as much fun as it is to eat the yummy delights that result from the experience.
