‘Greeshma Shibiram’ - A Summer Camp with a difference…

JHS conducted an Art and Craft Summer camp for the children of age group between 3-7 years. [It was well-organised, economical and highly exciting camp]. The children began each day with a scrumptious breakfast. After breakfast, the children had a short session invoking God’s blessings through Shlokas and Devotional songs. The children sang sweetly and melodiously... indeed a pleasure to hear. After the shloka chanting,the children learnt many innovative craft things like paper bags, purses, dolls, wall hangings, pencil holders, folders etc. It was very interesting to see tiny nimble fingers busy cutting, pasting, decorating, folding and following instructions. The children then danced to foot tapping music and learnt some amazing steps.

At the end of the Summer Camp, the children had learnt the full song. The session used to end everyday with Yoga and Meditation. Two days of swimming and a field trip to Sankey Lake was the icing of the cake during the camp. ’Greeshma Shibiram-2011’ ended with the children getting awarded with certificates stating the successful completion of the camp.
