‘Green day/world environment day' at fundamentals JHS.

Pre Fundamentals:

The green day celebration was started with the special assembly in which students sung rhymes related to the environment & the colored green. Students were shown different green colored objects to reinforce the concept green. Teachers thought students few rhymes & spoke on the importance of trees. A scrapbook activity of leaf pasting was done in the class.

Basic Fundamentals:

• Special assembly, student talk, rhymes & action songs.
• Nature walk
• Testing fruits& vegetables (cucumber row mongo watermelon)
• Picture talk on fruits &vegetables
• Talk on the significance of trees, environment & keeping the surrounding clean.
• Group activity (artwork): finger/hand printing.

Advanced Fundamentals:

Green day was celebrated at fundamentals to make the children aware about their surrounding & environment. Children’s were dressed in green color attire. They were taken on a “clean drive” in the school campus. Children’s went with the pluck cards saying- “go green”, save trees, “our earth-our feature-just save it”. Plant for planet”. Song &rhymes were sung to mark the occasion.

Other activities:

• Freehand drawings on the topic nature.
• Germination of seeds.
• Teachers talk on topic “Environment”
• Take home gifts.
